Velvet-purple Coronet (Original)

The Velvet-purple Coronet is a medium-sized hummingbird found in the Andes in Colombia and Ecuador.
In low light it appears black, but in sunlight it turns into a dazzling gem with a purple belly and crown, turquoise sides, and greenish wings.

This original illustration was created with professional, lightfast coloured pencils and acrylic paint on drafting film.

It is hand-signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Colours may vary slightly due to differences in monitor calibrations.

Note that it will be sent unframed (the room images here are examples only), but will be professionally mounted with a neutral white matboard.
