Fiery-billed Aracari (Original)

$950.00
Only 1 available

The Fiery-billed Aracari is a small toucan found in Costa Rica and Panama. They live in small flocks numbering up to 10 birds, and are rapid flyers, moving through the forest with speed. It mostly forages close to the canopy, but will also feed on fruits in the understory.

My inspiration for this piece (and the others in this series) is the historical bird illustrators of the 19th Century, particularly Edward Lear, Audubon and Gould.

This original illustration was created with professional, lightfast coloured pencils and acrylic paint on archival drafting film.
Finished with an archival matte varnish for protection.

It is hand-signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Colours may vary slightly due to differences in monitor calibrations.

Note that it will be sent unframed (the room images here are examples only), but will be professionally mounted with a neutral white matboard.

Size – 56 x 46cm (image area), 72 x 62cm (including matboard).

Shipped flat-packed and insured.
When you receive your artwork, it should be professionally framed as soon as possible. I have used archival, lightfast materials, so your artwork should last a lifetime, but please do not display it in direct sunlight.
